Please write to your sponsored child today. Children love receiving your letters!

Please see below some guidelines that are important to develop a caring sponsor relationship.

Letter writing Do’s and Don’ts:

Do:

  • Write at least twice a year. At most you may write one letter per month.
  • Tell them about your family, friends, school, church, or about any hobbies or activities you enjoy.
  • Share your faith in Christ with them.
  • Tell them about places you have been or may want to go.
  • Include pictures of you and your family. Be sure to write on the back and let them know who is in the picture.

Don’t

  • Don’t send gifts. Once a year at Christmas you may send an extra $15 donation if you would like the school to purchase a Bible or modest gift for your child. We give school supplies or age appropriate Christian learning materials. We will make sure the child knows that this is a gift you sent specifically for them.
  • Don’t promise anything you can’t keep, including visiting them or their country at some point.
  • Don’t make any type of suggestion that you want to have them visit you in the U.S. or that they can come to the U.S.
  • Don’t ever share personal communication information (email, address, phone numbers, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Skype, etc.) for your privacy.
  • Don’t share financial information with them.
